A 90-year old Taiwanese man, Huang Fang-hou, was arrested on the weekend at Cambodia’s Phnom Penh International Airport, allegedly with 1.9 kilograms of heroin strapped to his body. Huang, who was due to board a flight to Hong Kong and then fly on to Taipei had, according to police, been offered assistance with check-in but refused. It was then that they noticed that for an old frail man he had a prominent waistline. He had earlier passed other security checks. He appeared in court Monday and if convicted faces up to 20 years in prison. Unless he turns out to be one of the world’s oldest men, he will die there.
