A New Direction for Rehabology

01.31.07 | Comment? | Published by Rob Wood

Well it’s been a fairly wild ride since we started this site and to be honest, the response to it has been fantastic.

We’ve seen some great posts from new bloggers and started more than our fair share of debates, arguments and rants. The traffic has grown steadily and the site seems to be on the radar of a few prominent people in the debate.

But to be honest, Luke and I burnt ourselves out with our hectic schedule of writing in the first few months of the site. So much so that for the last month or two we have selfishly relied on Steve Strommer to update a lot of the content (for which we are eternally grateful).

So where to from here?

After meeting last week, Luke and I agreed that we can’t maintain our initial post rate of up to three posts each per day. The quality was falling and to be honest I was exhausted.

However, we have decided to move to a slightly new posting schedule.

Nothing much will change, but from Luke and I you will be seeing far more in depth articles, on a far less regular basis. This is what we were more or less aiming at from the beginning - an established audience for us and anyone else who is interested to delve deeply into the issue of drugs and the debate, politics . sociology and economy surrounding them.

We are also aiming to do a couple of “debate” series between other people who have taken strong positions in the debate. We certainly don’t want the site becoming a bastion of one party to the debate only.

So stay tuned!

Hopefully our good friend Mr Strommer will continue to grace us with his excellent insights and Luke and I will certainly be back with even more!

As always, for anyone else who wants to chime in, the blog is open to all.
