Shaheed Roger Khan

Shaeed ‘Roger’ Khan, the alleged drug smuggler and underworld figure from Guyana has appeared in court on drugs and weapons charges in Suriname.

With further allegations that Khan ordered the assassination of several government and judicial officials in Suriname, things might get a little nasty for him.

This is not good news for his criminal contacts in the underworld of Suriname whose justice minister has strongly implied that Khan squealed, nor for the government of Guyana who are suspected of colluding with Khan in their internal politics in which Khan claimed he was “perceived by persons in the USA, the police force, the Army and the PNCR as someone who has the will and capacity to fight crime and to protect the people of Guyana against a coup d’etat.”

A few people in Guyana took that as code for, “I control death squads.”

It may also mean that the US will never get their hands on him, despite an extradition request based on the accusation that Rogen Khan conspired to import Cocaine to the USA.

If jailed in Suriname however, many people are worried that Khan will be able to break out of jail, as have some other high profile criminals incarcerated in the country.
